Apple Halwa

Apple halwa is a low calorie and healthy fruit flavored mouth watering and healthy sweet dish prepared from grated apple fruit slices cooked with sugar, mava and spices like cardamom. A delicious dessert dish which can be served as a snack or after meal sweet! apple halwa is a special dessert which can be served on special occasions, garnished with chopped nuts.

Preparation Time:5 mins Cooking Time, 15 mins Makes 2 to 3 servings


1/4 cup raisins

1/4 tsp saffron (kesar) strands

2 tsp rose water

4 apples

6 tsp sugar

1/2 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder

1/2 tsp nutmeg (jaiphal) powder

2 tsp butter

For Garnish sliced almonds chopped cashewnuts


For the pancakes
  • Grate the apples and keep aside.
  • Heat the butter in a non-stick pan and add the apple and saut on a slow flame until brown in colour.
  • Add the sugar, saffron, rose water, cardamom powder, javintri powder and mix well.
  • Lastly add raisins and mix well.
  • Serve hot garnished with cashew nut, almonds, pistachio nut.
