SPICES AND CONDIMENTS:

Ajwain seeds

Mix 1/2 tsp of ajwain seed, 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds and 1tsp of ginger powder. Take it every day twice before meals for problem of acidity.

For best relief in cold, take in the steam of ajwain seeds infused in hot water.

Grind these Ajwain seeds with lukewarm water and make it into a paste. Apply it on the affected areas for itching.

Soak a handful of carom seeds in an earthen vessel filled with water overnight and drink this water early in the morning for irregular menses.

Soak 3 tbsp of carom seeds in lime juice and dry this in the shade. Make it in the form of powder and mix it with little black salt. Consume 1 tsp of this twice a day with warm water. This will help to reduce the gas formation.

Boil handful of carom seeds in water. Cool this water and then wash your eyes with this water for cleaning.

Wrap carom seeds in the tissue paper and smell this. It is useful to reduce a migraine headache.

You can also try ajwain in some snacks, biscuits, sauces, soups and even pickles.

According to Ayurveda it helps in pacifying Vata and Kapha prakratis, and increasing Pitta. It is useful in stimulating appetite, and functioning of the respiratory system.
